Sealtite sealants have been awarded the sealant package from main contractor Laing O’Rourke at the new Westgate shopping centre in Oxford. Here our works will include floor joining, sealing of glass facades, Fireproofing, sealing of frames, finishing sealant to tiled floors, bathroom/toilet areas, kitchen areas, expansion joints etc
The £440m development in the heart of Oxford city centre will transform the existing Westgate shopping centre into an 800,000 sq ft retail and leisure destination, due for completion in autumn 2017.Laing O’Rourke’s 30 month contract is focused on the construction of the shell and core of the three-storey retail centre, together with a 1,000 space underground car park and 61 new residential properties.
The project, which will sustain 1,000 construction jobs, will also involve extensive remodeling of the existing Westgate shopping centre.
Preparatory works at Westgate began in February following approval by Oxford City Council and leasing commitments from leading national and international retailers. The project will extend over four main blocks split by a central covered walkway
The new Westgate Oxford will include over 100 new stores, 25 restaurants and cafes, a boutique cinema, roof top terrace dining and a wealth of new public spaces.

Sealtite Sealants are very happy to have secured Phase 2 of Taylor Wimpey’s Langley park. The Development of Langley Park, is a mixed-use development of 165 plots with 2 bedroom apartments and 2, 3 & 4 bedroom houses with a new primary school just opened in Maidstone, Kent. The development is also planned to have a local centre and a nature conservation area. Our works will consist of Sealant to external window and door frames, external expansion joints, internal sealant to window and door frames, Kitchens, utility rooms and bathrooms/en suites, any fireproof sealant to garage ceiling perimeters. We will work along side Taylor Wimpey to ensure that all works are completed in line with there schedules
Following the success of phase one, sealtite sealants have been awarded the contract of the sealant application to Phase 2. Our works will include sealant to External expansion joints, internal fireproofing to blockwork, mastic to internal windows, kitchen, toilet areas, flooring etc.
Erith Park Phase 2 will provide 244 new dwellings in a mix of well-designed one, two and three bedroom houses and apartments. 80% of the new dwellings will be affordable homes.
It also includes a new centrally located and architecturally-striking community facility and high-quality, usable and accessible open space. This will be in stark contrast to the previous open space at the Larner Road estate which was of a poor quality, sterile and unused.
Phase 2 builds upon the success of Erith Park Phase 1, whereby Turley secured a hybrid planning permission, including full permission for the development of 343 residential units. These units have now been completed and have transformed what was one of the most deprived areas in the country into an area which is an exemplar in urban design regeneration.
Sealtite sealants have been awarded the sealant contract at the newly refurbished Renault Toomeys. Works to consist of sealants to showroom area curtain walling, tiled flooring, ceiling trims, office areas and toilet areas. Hutton Group had tight deadlines to meet so Sealtite sealants work around the main contractor to make sure all works were complete on time for handover.
